DG's Message..

Over the past decade, there have been several reports of casualties resulting from natural calamities such as recurring heatwaves, flooding, droughts, and other catastrophes such as accidents, fires, explosions, or epidemics. Due to unprecedented trends of urban expansion and recurring natural and human-induced disasters, the need for Rescue service was essential.
In response to this imperative need, the Sindh Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue-1122) took a significant step by deploying 224 fully equipped ambulances through the health department in May 2022. Consequently, all emergency rescue services have been in full operation across all divisions since December 2022. At present, the state of the art Central Command & Control Karachi meticulously oversees emergency calls throughout the entire province, offering communities a unified and efficient 'one-window' service for all types of emergencies and disasters. In a noteworthy development, the provincial assembly of the Government of Sindh approved the "Sindh Emergency Rescue Service Bill 2023" in August 2023, officially designating it as part of the Rehabilitation department under the Government of Sindh.
It is really a privilege for me to not only implement the project but also lead the operations and command the Rescue force of Sindh Emergency Rescue Service (Rescue-1122). Our comprehensive services encompass Fire Fighting, Water Rescue, Urban Search & Rescue, Lifesaving training programs, and an extensive expansion of operations in key districts of Sindh, as well as along major highways and motorways.
